Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, date of birth, city, mobile number, email address, account credentials, Garba preferences, introduction and profile photo. If you use member features, we may process connection requests, messages, public-event plans, blocks and reports. Payment providers return transaction identifiers and status; we do not ask you to enter card details into our own forms.
How we use it
We use this information to check age eligibility, create and secure accounts, show the public profile fields you choose, support mutual connections, process and verify the one-time payment, answer requests, and prevent misuse. We may use service records to investigate reports and meet applicable legal obligations.
Who can see it
Other eligible members may see your first name, city, profile photo, introduction and Garba preferences when your profile is visible. Existing connections can still see your profile when you pause discovery. Your email, mobile number, date of birth and payment information are not shown on your public profile. A person you message can see what you send in that conversation. Our hosting, authentication, storage and payment providers process information needed to deliver their services.
Your choices and requests
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or raise a privacy concern, by writing to support@kismets.in. We may need to verify the requester and retain limited records where required for security, dispute handling or law. We do not promise an immediate deletion of every backup or legally retained record.
Security and retention
We use access controls and server-side payment verification. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law, and review inactive records and reports under our operational policies.
Children and changes
Garba Together is for adults aged 18 or older. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us. We will post material changes to this policy on this page with a new effective date.
